£10 prebook only – Mixed abilities/beginners welcome:

TO BOOK and to see all available classes with Julie please use this link:

https://yogawithjuliepotter.co.uk/yoga-classes-and-packages/

This class is particularly suited to beginners, those returning to yoga having had a break, those with specific injuries of conditions or even those that consider themselves to be of a ‘certain age’ that might need a less challenging approach.

The yoga I teach is an evolution of over 20 years of practice and study, perhaps moving away from ‘external’ evaluation of the postures and moving towards an ‘internal’ sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential approach. Whilst looking at traditional Hatha Yoga postures and pranayamas, I will be encouraging fun and freedom within the traditional structure, whilst taking into our awareness fundamental anatomical and functional aspects required by our bodies for maximum well being benefits.

Gentle Yoga with Caroline – ‘ON-LINE’
Dec 2 @ 10:00 am – 11:15 am

£10 prebook only

suitable for all:

Book your place via www.yogawithcaroline.co.uk

This class covers movement (posture practise known as asana), breathing techniques and relaxation.
This class is suitable for all, from beginner to the more experienced student, to those recovering from injury.

Breath awareness

To become aware of your breathing, eventually allowing the breath to become smooth, lengthen and deepen.

Body awareness

Soften, not to end gain or be competitive with yourself or anyone else.
Work mindfully with sensitivity.
Become aware of how the spine responds to the breath.
Importance of the ground – Yield to ground, to reduce tension.

The Yoga Style – Inpired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli

This style of Yoga is non-competitive; it facilitates deep releases on all levels and is accessible to everyone of any age.  This approach fasciliates the experience of space and freedom within body and mind.

The Yoga practise is primarily interested in freeing the breath and spine together with a sense of grounding or yielding to the earth. Focussing on the breath together with an attentive, inquisitive mind, allows you to be kind to yourself and listen to your body’s needs, allowing you to become your own teacher. It is a unique approach for each person, which means ‘one posture fits all’ is not the case.

This approach can facilitate change and can enable you to experience a peaceful space within, thus resulting in a less stressed body/mind, good health and improved posture.

The ‘Beginners’ class was introduced at the studio for those who are new to yoga or who are returning to yoga after a break and who want to gain confidence before attending our more general yoga classes.

Often we have prospective new students who feel a bit daunted about attending a class that may have others who are more experienced. In which case this class is a great introduction.

Everybody is welcome.
