Classical Mat Pilates with Clare – ‘ON-LINE’
Nov 23 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Classical Mat Pilates with Clare - 'ON-LINE'

£10 prebook only – Suitable for all:

TO BOOK email Clare at clare@wellnesswindsoruk.com

Classical Pilates (meaning original to Joseph Pilates teachings), works the body from the inside out. Strengthening the core muscles deep within the body first creates stability. Once the core is stable you can safely work the full body bringing it into correct alignment.

Pilates reshapes the body, which will become leaner and longer, improving your posture, achieving the perfect balance of strength and flexibility.

This Pilates Mat Class will focus on executing movements with good techniques and correct breathing to maximize your workout.

£10 prebook only – Mixed abilities/beginners welcome:

TO BOOK and to see all available classes with Julie please use this link:

This class is particularly suited to beginners, those returning to yoga having had a break, those with specific injuries of conditions or even those that consider themselves to be of a ‘certain age’ that might need a less challenging approach.

The yoga I teach is an evolution of over 20 years of practice and study, perhaps moving away from ‘external’ evaluation of the postures and moving towards an ‘internal’ sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential approach. Whilst looking at traditional Hatha Yoga postures and pranayamas, I will be encouraging fun and freedom within the traditional structure, whilst taking into our awareness fundamental anatomical and functional aspects required by our bodies for maximum well being benefits.

A yoga practise based on being seated on a chair (dining room/kitchen). Developed originally for a group of ladies/gentlemen with neurological conditions such as M.S. and Parkinson’s.

We have now expanded to include any condition that severely limits mobility and where it is appropriate to remain seated. On occasion we stand, but this is easily adapted if that is not possible.

We include breathing practises and some meditation/relaxation practises, and the focus is to move as much as possible in a functional way using yoga practises, but respecting the limitations of the individual and the limitations of remaining seated.

£10 prebook only – block booking available:

All welcome, but not suitable for complete beginners:

TO BOOK contact Deborah on 07834 971062 or  email deborah.lvpage@gmail.com

Align and Flow Yoga is influenced by the biomechanics and heart orientated philosophy of the Anusara Hatha style of yoga.  With a specific alignment focus within the flow of postures the practice will tone and strengthen the body, improve posture and create more freedom in the body and mind resulting in a calm and relaxed state of being.  Each week there will be a different theme weaving its’ way through the session but a typical class starts with breathing techniques to centre and ground, poses to warm up and then progresses to a fun and challenging mix of vinyasa and alignment yoga, this class is designed to cultivate focus, stamina, strength, and flexibility.   Leaving time at the end for a well-deserved relaxation.

Come prepared for an energising class that will also leave you feeling relaxed.

Beginners Yoga with Caroline – ‘ON-LINE’’
Nov 27 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

£10 prebook only – block booking available

Book your place via www.yogawithcaroline.co.uk

The ‘Beginners’ class was introduced at the studio for those who are new to yoga or who are returning to yoga after a break and who want to gain confidence before attending our more general yoga classes.

Often we have prospective new students who feel a bit daunted about attending a class that may have others who are more experienced. In which case this class is a great introduction.

Everybody is welcome.

This class covers movement (posture practise known as asana), breathing techniques and relaxation.
This class is suitable for all, from beginner to those recovering from injury.

Breath awareness

To become aware of your breathing, eventually allowing the breath to become smooth, lengthen and deepen.

Body awareness

Soften, not to end gain or be competitive with yourself or anyone else.
Work mindfully with sensitivity.
Become aware of how the spine responds to the breath.
Importance of the ground – Yield to ground, to reduce tension.

The Yoga Style – Inpired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli

This style of Yoga is non-competitive; it facilitates deep releases on all levels and is accessible to everyone of any age.  This approach fasciliates the experience of space and freedom within body and mind.

The Yoga practise is primarily interested in freeing the breath and spine together with a sense of grounding or yielding to the earth. Focussing on the breath together with an attentive, inquisitive mind, allows you to be kind to yourself and listen to your body’s needs, allowing you to become your own teacher. It is a unique approach for each person, which means ‘one posture fits all’ is not the case.

This approach can facilitate change and can enable you to experience a peaceful space within, thus resulting in a less stressed body/mind, good health and improved posture.

Ashtanga Modified Primary Series with Justine - 'ON-LINE'

Pre-book only £12/£9 – Intermediate level:

TO BOOK contact Justine on 07715 652758 or email Justine.Clifford@hotmail.co.uk

Ashtanga is an incredibly powerful and therapeutic practice that has the potential to create a vibrantly healthy body and ultimately calm the mind.

At the heart of this practice is breath synchronised with movement to create a dynamic flow, so be prepared to work hard and expect to get a little sweaty as the focus on one of the tools ‘ujjayi breath’ will generate an intense internal heat as you move around the mat.

The Primary Series is a set sequence of postures designed to bring strength, flexibility, and endurance to the body.  It is designed to purify the body through the breath and the movement to invoke a stillness of the mind.

This class follows the traditional format of the Ashtanga Primary Series – sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, and closing sequence poses. Class ends with shavasana (relaxation).

This is a spiritual practice that helps connect you to your soul and will leave you feeling balanced, rejuvenated, with a new sense of energy.
Ashtanga literally means “eight limbs” in Sanskrit & this strong class will teach the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga.
