” Yoga and Feeling – Looking Through the Lens of  Sensation “

After many many years of working with John through various workshops and courses I have finally managed to arrange a workshop with him at Yoga for Harmony.  It will be on-line streamed via ‘Zoom’ due to the continued Covid -19 difficulties.

This workshop forms the introduction to the first Yoga for Harmony Teacher Training Course and we will be making references to ideas relevant to those starting on their training, but the day will be aimed at anyone who would like to spend a relaxing few hours developing aspects of their own practise.

John’s sessions always leave me inspired and with a feeling of a new challenge and a new path to investigate with my practise and as a teacher new ideas to share with my students.

The day will be from 10.30am – 12.30pm  and 1.30pm – 3.30pm. There will be a break of 60 minutes to rest, reflect and to move away from the screen.

Everyone is welcome.

The workshop will be recorded, so you can come back to the ideas/practises in your own time and use them to support your continued learning and well-being. Or if  you are unable to attend on the day, please book in and then I can send you the recording afterwards if you let me know.

John Stirk has been teaching Yoga and Mind-body movement for 40 years. He has recently published his third book: “The Original Body

John graduated as an Osteopath in 1983 at the College of Osteopaths in London, where he subsequently lectured in Bio-Mechanics and Practical Osteopathy and was made a Fellow of the College in 1995.

The influence of R.D.Laing, with whom he ran body/mind workshops, Classical Osteopathy, B.K.S. Iyengar, Vanda Scaravelli with whom he had personal tuition for several years and Krisnamurti has confirmed his belief in finding it in and for oneself.

John’s interest in the impediments to understanding, compassion and freedom from the self, informs his posture based work which attends to the physical while simultaneously questioning the nature of conditioning, habit and fear in their various guises.

He runs classes, workshops and residentials for yoga students and teachers throughout the UK and internationally. Take a look on John’s website
