Introducing Sharon Carter for an Afternoon of Yoga ‘ON-LINE’
May 7 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm£25
Sharon will be joining us again for an afternoon of relaxing and enjoyable yoga to reenergise and recharge our ‘batteries’ in these stressful and challenging times.
In this session we will look at the influence of the feet on the knees, hips and spine. We will explore the tone and balance of the legs and glutes to understand the importance of maintaining strength and tone in the lower body throughout our lives, looking at how to ensure good balance and movement, as well as healthy joints, in all stages of life.
We will need a yoga strap/belt/dynaband, a cushion or soft pilates ball (the small ones) and a yoga block or equivalent (like a hardcover book!).
Born in Brazil to English parents, Sharon has lived in London for 30 years. She discovered yoga in 1997 and has been teaching since 2002.
With both Iyengar and Scaravelli influences in her practice and a particular interest in anatomy, Sharon doesn’t teach one particular style of yoga, preferring to encourage students to experience and explore movement and postures through the release of tension and the use of the breath. Sharon teaches her students to listen to their bodies and take their yoga practice into their day to day life: the way they walk, sit, stand, move, to improve habitual patterns of movement and encourage balance and alignment through the body.
This session is suitable for everyone and a perfect start to the weekend.
